11 October 2009: Release Delayed to Go 3D
MGM have decided to push Cabin in the Woods release back to 14 January 2011 in order to spend 6 months converting the film to 3D. According to ComingSoon.net the decision to make this move has been due to a phenomenal response the movie has received at test screenings.
5 October 2009: Manga Adaptation
Tokyopop have announced that they will be releasing a Manga tie in for Cabin in the Woods. The adaptation is an original story set within the world of the film and will be available in February 2010 to tie in with the movie release.

Finally in comics news, a Cabin in the Woods comic has also be announced which will be released by Dark Horse but not wriiten by Joss Whedon.
26 July 2009: Titan Announced Tie-In Books
Titan Books have announced two movie tie-in books for the forthcoming Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard movie, Cabin in the Woods. Due for release to coincide with the movie's release in Febuary 2010 is a novelisation and an Official Companion which will include the full screenplay.
Several cast announcements have been made for Joss Whedon's new film, Cabin in the Wood which began filming this month. Kristen Connelly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchinson, Jesse Williams and Dollhouse's Fran Kranz will join the already announced Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford. The film in scheduled for release on 5th Feb 2010.
