Gina Torres has been cast in a recurring role on Gossip Girl. She will play Gabriella Abrams, mother to Vanessa. Her character is described as "warm and outgoing, she is a free spirit, a former Broolynite who lives 'off the grid' in Vernmont and has definite opinions about things, especially concerning her daughter."

23 March 2009: Washington Field

Gina Torres has been cast in CBS Pilot Washington Field which revolves around an FBI squad made up of experts who travel the world responding to crises that concern US national interests. Gina plays a rapid-deployment team coordinator and tactical pilot.
