1 August 2010 - Drones vs. Human Relations

If you follow Amber Benson on Twitter you will have heard of the forthcoming SyFy TV series, Human Relations and how the plot summary is not just a little similiar to Amber and Adam Busch's independent film "Drones".

HUMAN RELATIONS

The Office meets Men In Black in this project featuring an office Temp who slowly discovers that his off-kilter and old-ball bosses at the strange hi-tech "ad agency" where he works are really aliens working on plan to destroy the Earth."

DRONES

The Office meets The Day the Earth Stood Still.. is about a guy who works in an office with a kooky, off-kilter boss/co-workers, who then discovers that he's really working with aliens who are plotting to blow-up the Earth."

As Amber points out in her blog on the subject, coincidences do occur and two people can come up with similar plot lines and stories completely independently of each other, however, the fact that SyFy aired the Drones trailer on their website in January, and so were fully aware of the film and plot, indicates more than just a coincidence.

If you want to support Amber, Adam and Jonathan Woodward, who stars in the film, as well as independent filmaking, please go and see the film in theatres when it is released by Phase Four Films in the Us in March 2011, and buy it on DVD, you won't be disappointed.
