Crow is Adelai Niska’s right hand man, a heavy who”likes to stand at the door and say “boo”.

When Mal, Zoe and Jayne take on a job from Niska that they find they cannot go through with, Crow pays them a visit to find out what has gone wrong. He does not take their explanation very well and a fight ensues in which Crow stabs Mal, and then takes a bullet in the leg, misfired by Jayne who was “aiming for his head”

Mal tries to be reasonable, however, Crow will not accept the terms and comes to an untimely end courtesy of one of Serenity’s engines.
